Amy
Shoemaker became interested in video production her Junior
year in high school when she took it as an elective class.
She liked it so much she took it again her senior year.
That year she became a CEO of DIGS, Digital Imaging and
Graphics for Students, and was awarded the Outstanding Student
in Fine Arts Award of her class. She was also awarded two
scholarships to help her pay for college. She decided to
go to the Art Institute of Phoenix to get an Associates
degree in video productions. There, she learned skills in
Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, AVID
editing systems, and became proficient with professional
cameras, lighting and audio techniques. In college is also
where she met the love of her life and very talented Adolpho
Navarro.
Amy is a cameraman, makeup artist, and helps with wardrobe
in Adolpho’s movie productions. She also gives her
input on the writing and continuity. She even does a little
acting as well. She and Adolpho were co-writers and directors
a two-minute short called “Sarah’s Revenge”
in which she starred in for a contest from a local radio
station, which they won first prize for.
